How cool is it that Mindful in May – the global meditation and mindfulness campaign – was founded by Melbourne’s own Dr Elise Bialylew (author of The Happiness Plan, which is now on my must-read list)?
Mindfulness and meditation became important to me during one of the toughest chapters of my career. Thanks to this “growth” experience, I now make a deliberate effort to embrace calm.
But I’m not always consistent with my practice.
So this month, I plan to:
🪷 Take three deep breaths before reaching for my device in the morning.
🪷 Take a mindful walk, just around the block or between floors at work.
🪷 Eat one meal a day without multitasking! No screens.
🪷 Put five minutes aside at the end of the workday for reflection.
🪷 Practice mindful listening – its a super power to truly hear and pause.
🪷 Use transitions (like logging off work) as moments to breathe and reset.
🪷 Declutter my desk to declutter my mind.
My one-word intention will be gratitude.
No matter how small, I am grateful for the wins and the wisdom.

Are you going to make a little space for mindfulness this month?
