Every day, we count and calculate. How many glasses of water have we drunk? How many steps have we walked?
No matter how much data we collect, it doesn’t explain whether we are actually happy, healthy and living a good life. They’re just indicators, sometimes warning signs.
Evaluating your communication works in much the same way. You can claim a number of editorial column centimetres but it’s not much value if the headline and the sentiment are negative.
Track the numbers, ensure that you are attracting views of a video or getting signatures on a petition. This is handy information.
But if you are not getting the numbers, then maybe you need to rethink your strategy.

Take the next step, back up the numbers with analysis. What do the numbers mean to you and your brand.
Support the numbers with even more information – can someone recall your brand name? What sentiment do they associate with your brand? Did your followers scroll over your post, engage or comment?
Knowing what went right or wrong can really help you to better understand your audience. You can’t just dismiss it with a shrug of the shoulders.
Measures of success – evaluations – are an integral part of any communications plan; and when you know, you will know what to do next.
Whether you’re looking to enhance your brand’s voice, connect with your audience more effectively or improve your overall strategy, we can assist.
Looking forward to working with you @EunoiaCommunications!
